In a short introductory walking tour your tour guide will tell you the fascinating history of the gondola and the gondoliers! On board you will then learn all about the palaces, churches and attractions around you. You will also discover some of the tales known only to Venetians!

Embark on a traditional gondola to discover some of the city's main attractions. Navigating the minor canals you will admire the magnificent buildings of Mozart's House and La Fenice Theatre; then you will go through the world's most famous waterway, the Grand Canal, along which you will be enchanted by the beauty of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute and the Island of San Giorgio.

Lastly, you will catch a glimpse of St Mark's Square, with its imposing Doge's Palace that almost seems to dominate the entire basin with its majestic marble facades characterized by colonnades and exceptional decorations.

During this tour, there will be no moment when the Venetian wonders do not present themselves before your eyes. Being on a gondola will also allow you to enjoy the most spectacular views of the city.

At the end of the tour, you will receive a QR code to download a digital map with 2D images of Venice from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.  You can compare some of the most fascinating places and discover how they appeared in different eras compared to today. Imagine that the Rialto Bridge was once a drawbridge and the Doge's Palace was once an authentic medieval castle!

• Each gondola can accommodate a maximum of 5 people; the seat on board cannot be chosen, but will be assigned by the gondolier depending on the guests' weight.

• Gondola Ride Commentary  in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi and Russian will be provided by a mobile application to be downloaded on personal devices (smartphones, tablets)
